Family Mondays
To start off, the Family Mondays weekly special is the perfect way to engage the kids and parents who want more thrills with their visit. This special is new for 2026, and families are already enjoying it! From June 1st through August 31st, parents and grandparents can enjoy free rides at Jenkinson’s Amusement Park and a round of mini golf at Lighthouse Point Miniature Golf with a paid child admission. You can pay for your child at the standard ticket booths, and you can pick up your wristbands at the booth by the Point Plummet drop tower. Combine this weekly special with one of our free events on a Monday, and you have the beginning of a perfect beach day that the family will be sure to remember!
Beach Stage Events
Our free beach stage events are family friendly and perfect for everyone to enjoy! Ranging from character meet & greets to interactive family game shows, you’re sure to find an event you’ll love to attend. There are two beach stages along the boardwalk: the South Beach Stage is on the beach across from the ride park, and the Pavilion Beach Stage is on the beach across from the aquarium. Movies on the Beach
Watching a free movie on the beach is the perfect way to enhance your trip to the shore! On Tuesdays at 8:30pm on the beach across from the aquarium, bring your friends and family to enjoy a movie with the calming ambiance of the beach. There are so many family-friendly options to choose from, such as Zootopia 2 and Wicked: For Good. Make sure to get there early for Movies on the Beach Trivia with 94.3 The Point at 7pm before the movies. Feel free to bring blankets, low-back chairs, and get cozy on the sand. Get ready to create great memories that everyone will remember!
Fireworks Display
What better way to end off an evening at the beach than watching a free fireworks show over the ocean? On Thursdays at 9:30pm, enjoy an impressive display of lights from the beach or the boardwalk! Additionally, our Independence Day Fireworks Show that was originally scheduled for July 5th has been rescheduled to July 16th! This will be our biggest display of fireworks this summer, and you can read more about this show here! Be sure to check our website or social media (@jenksboardwalk) for updates. This free display is sure to be magical for everyone in the family!
Themed Events
Red, White, and Ride: America’s 250th Celebration
We’re celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary again on July 16th! Starting at 12:15pm with an official ribbon cutting ceremony for our new ride, Patriot’s Run, and culminating with our biggest fireworks show of the season, this will be an exciting event for the whole family! Throughout the day there will be free entertainment and performances on the South Beach Stage across from the ride park. There will also be special deals on ride wristbands and food around the boardwalk. This full day of free, family friendly fun is the perfect way to fill your day!
Christmas in July
Finally, our annual Christmas in July celebration will take place on July 21st and 22nd, where the boardwalk will be decked out with festive decorations and activities. From free photos with Santa and Elf Storytime to live holiday music and seeing Diving Santa in the aquarium, there are endless activities that the family will enjoy! There will also be holiday themed food and sweet treats throughout the boardwalk. To fit the festive theme on the night of July 21st, the movie on the beach will be The Santa Claus. With so many free and family friendly options, this is the perfect event to turn into a whole beach day with the family!
