Jenkinson’s Boardwalk Hosts First Annual Toy Drive During Christmas in July Celebration

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ: Jenkinson’s Boardwalk proudly hosted its first-ever summer Toy Drive this July in support of Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. The event took place during the Boardwalk’s festive Christmas in July celebration, adding a meaningful layer of giving to the holiday-themed fun.

Held inside the Amusement Park on July 22 and 23, the Toy Drive invited guests to donate new, unused items to benefit the hospital’s Child Life Program. This program helps pediatric patients and their families navigate hospital stays through play therapy, emotional support, and age-appropriate education.

As a token of appreciation, each person who donated received three free ride tickets. Popular donation items included LEGO sets, Play-Doh, coloring books, fidget toys, UNO cards, and gift cards—thoughtful gifts that will help brighten the days of children receiving care.

Located in Neptune, NJ, K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital offers comprehensive pediatric care and is home to a robust Child Life Program designed to reduce fear, anxiety, and trauma for young patients and their families.

“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in making our first Toy Drive a success,” said Alex Taylor, Marketing & Brand Manager at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. “Thanks to the generous support of our guests and community, we’re excited to make this a new annual tradition of giving back during the summer season.”
