Description
- Name: Ace
- Species: Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle (Lepidochelys kempii)
- Weight: 50-55 pounds
- Size: 21 inches long, 20 inches wide
- Age: Unknown (approximate hatch date is Spring 1995)
- Diet: Ace eats every other day. She receives a mixed diet of squid, capelin, herring, mackerel, shrimp, and will occasionally be given whole crabs. Her food is supplemented with Calcium and Vitamin E at every feeding.
- Characteristics: Ace is most active in the afternoons, which is usually when she is fed by our keepers. She enjoys getting her shell scrubbed by our staff members when they are inside the tank to clean. She will sometimes chase the staff around the tank while they are SCUBA diving, trying to get their attention!
