Turtle Pond

We encourage guests to make positive pet choices and the residents of our turtle pond are one of the reasons why.

Many of these turtles were acquired through NJFWS confiscation. We encourage you to research any animal that you are considering for a pet. Once animals reach their adult size, many do not want to care for them anymore. Some species of turtles can live up to 50 years of age and it is illegal to own them in New Jersey without a permit. It is also important not to release non-native species in the wild as they can eat and compete with native species.
